Dr Nick Stretton BDS(Otago) MRACDS(GDP) FICOI

Nick is a registered dental surgeon who graduated from the University of Otago. After travelling and working in Outback Australia and Alice Springs Hospital, Nick decided to move back home to New Zealand. Nick has gained further advanced training overseas in Oral Surgery and IV sedation techniques and has been awarded Membership to the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and this was followed up by his Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2017. Nick's special area of clinical interest is oral surgery including the replacement of teeth with titanium implants, and surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth under IV sedation.

Nick is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association, and a committee member of the New Zealand Society for Sedation in Dentistry. He is also registered with the Australian Dental Board.

Nick also contracts surgical services to other practices and is involved with teaching continuing education courses to other dentists and enjoys exploring our great outdoors with his wife and children in his downtime.

Dr Lonika Joshi BDS(Otago)

Lonika enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, and has a special interest in restoring the mouth to full function, including crafting her own ceramic crowns with our in-house furnace and CADCAM system.

Lonika initially moved to New Zealand from Malaysia in 2000, and soon after went travelling. She followed her father's footsteps into dentistry and started her dental career in the Ukraine, before moving back to New Zealand to complete her Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree with the University of Otago. She is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association, and the local Auckland Dental Association Branch. Lonika enjoys the coastal walking tracks and entertaining family and friends at the local vineyards Waiheke has to offer.

Katie Maahs AppSciDH (Utah, USA)

Katie, a Utah native, was raised amid the striking desert red rock formations and world-class skiing nestled in the rocky mountains of her home state. She graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 2007 from Salt Lake Community College, specializing in periodontal (gum) disease.

With a holistic approach, Katie inspires her patients to prioritize preventive care. She's an advocate for personalized homecare and offers cosmetic dental services. Katie is not only a skilled professional but also known for her remarkable empathy and being incredibly easy to talk to.

Beyond her profession, Katie's a food enthusiast and has lived in China and Spain, savouring global flavours. She's an active member of the F45 gym, which only adds to her vibrant moves on the dance floor. With her husband Mike as the manager at the Waiheke Resources Trust, they're raising their two children, Zuzu and Ari, on Waiheke Island. Katie's a dedicated individual, passionate about oral health and her island community.

Jasmine Kamboj BOH(Otago)

Jasmine graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Oral Health (a hygienist and a therapist) and then worked in Whangarei where she gained amazing experience in treating and managing gum disease. She then moved back to Auckland to be closer to family and friends.


Jasmine is a firm believer in “prevention is the best treatment” and likes taking a holistic approach to motivate her patients to achieve good oral health. She really enjoys working with her patients to provide personalised and realistic homecare to positively impact their oral health. She also provides cosmetic procedures such as whitening and undertakes free annual examinations and dental treatment under the government scheme for secondary school students.


Outside of work Jasmine is a huge foodie and enjoys exploring new restaurants and cuisines. She enjoys exploring Waiheke's great outdoors and all the island has to offer.
